FAM to host Football festivals across Maldives to mark Diamond Jubilee

Football Association of Maldives (FAM) has decided to host a football festival across the country to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee (75th anniversary) of Maldivian football.

These festivals will be held under the name "Diamond Jubilee."

The festival will kick off in Malé. FAM has decided to hold the first festival this coming Friday and Saturday at the turf field at Maafannu Stadium.

The association stated that over 1,500 young players from academies in Malé will participate in this festival.

In a statement, FAM said: "The two-day event will feature academy matches and activities designed to promote competition, camaraderie, sportsmanship, and community unity."

FAM added that the Diamond Jubilee celebrations will include vibrant festival activities held in various regions across the Maldives.
