Football Association of Maldives (FAM) held a special event at Artificial Beach on Saturday evening to build excitement for the upcoming Asian Cup qualifier between the Maldives and Tajikistan, set to take place in Male' on Tuesday.
The event, titled Foareegai Dhandah (“To the field in excitement”), featured performances by children’s favorite Robo Man and the Bidabin Boduberu Group, as well as photo sessions and autograph signings with national team players.
Fans also had the opportunity to view the SAFF Championship and South Asian Super Cup trophies, displayed at the event, and purchase tickets for the Tajikistan match.
Maldives will host all three of their remaining Asian Cup qualifying matches. After Tuesday’s game against Tajikistan, the team will face the Philippines in November and Timor-Leste in March next year.
FAM officials, players and supporters gathered at for the promotional event, marking the return of international football at the Galolhu Stadium after some time.
Tickets for the match are priced at MVR 50 for general admission and MVR 100 for staircase seating. They will be available for purchase at Galolhu Stadium during the following times:
- Sunday: 14:00–18:00 and 20:00–22:00
- Monday: 10:00–12:00, 14:00–18:00 and 20:00–22:00
- Tuesday: from 10:00onwards
