MP Shareef appointed Victory’s President, RDC MD Nazim as VP

Kelaa MP Abdulla Shareef has been elected as President of Victory Sports Club, following the resignation of the previous board to pave the way for fresh elections.

The new board features several senior government officials. Four vice presidents were appointed, including Health Minister Abdulla Nazim and RDC Managing Director, Kelaa MP Ibrahim Nazim who previously served as Victory’s President. The other two vice presidents are Abdulla Waheed and Abdul Raheem Latheef.

Board members include MMPRC Managing Director and TT Association Vice President Ibrahim Shiury, former Stelco MD and current President’s Office Minister Hussain Fahmy, and MACL Deputy MD Mujuthaba Latheef.

Two Victory members, Ahmed Riyaz (Ghana) and Ahmed Areesh (Patey), also joined the board, alongside female member Aisha Raihana.

Huzam Hussain Didi was appointed Secretary General, while Mohamed Mujah Munir will serve as Treasurer. The new board will serve a four-year term.

Victory’s long-time rivals, New Radiant, also have several government officials and ruling PNC MPs on their board.
