Maziya maintains their form after securing a 3-0 win against Buru Sports.
Maziya will have a break from league games for a while. Many Maziya players are on the national team, who will be playing against Tajikistan for their next two games in the Asian Cup qualifying rounds.
Maldives will be playing their first match against Tajikistan on their home turf on 9th October. The second match will be played in Maldives on 14th October.
Tuesday night's match saw Maziya's goals scored by Hamza Mohamed (Hampu), Naiz Hassan (Dhaadhu) and Ibrahim Aisam (Tony).
This match marked Maziya keeper Hussain Shareef's first game this season, having spent time off the pitch due to an injury. He was unable to play for the national football team during the two games against Sri Lanka in September.
Hamza's first goal of the season extended the lead for Maziya during the match, with the goal being assisted by Naiz in the 33rd minute. A swift pass back from inside the penalty box saw Hamza control it with a touch and shoot it into the goal.
Naiz scored a low ball into the right corner of the goal and was assisted by Aisam, securing Maziya's second goal. Buru goalkeeper Mohamed Faisal was unable to stop the ball.
The third goal was scored in the second half by Aisam with a free kick. Aisam sent the ball into the penalty box, with Naiz attempting to score off of it. Naiz missed his kick, with the ball subsequently entering the goal.
Maziya has won all four matches they've played this seasoned.
