Sentey scores another free kick, New Radiant maintains position

With Ali Fasir's (Sentey) free kick goal against United Victory (UV), New Radiant maintains the race at the top. 

New Radiant won with a score of 2-0.

Fasir had scored a free kick against TC in New Radiant's first game of the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League.

Last night's free kick goal against UV was taken and scored at around the same distance as the TC free kick goal.

New Radiant found it a difficult task to score against UV for the majority of the game. UV's Egyptian keeper Ali Adil Musthafa Ali had defended their goal from New Radiant's assaults with good saves.

However, Fasir's free kick could not be defended.

UV played a defensive line so that New Radiant's forward players couldn't create any space. However, with the first goal, New Radiant was able to find cracks in UV's defense.

New Radiant's second goal was scored by Nixon Brizolara after taking the opportunity to break through UV's defense. 

New Radiant has scored 8 goals in the two games they've played after coming back to the Dhivehi Premier League after a seven year hiatus. Their Pakistani goalkeeper Saqig Haneef has not conceded a goal as of yet.

This puts New Radiant at the top of the leader board with an 8 goal advantage. Second place Maziya has a seven goal advantage.
