Today's Dhivehi Premier League match between Buru Sports and Eagles ended in a 2-2 draw.
Eagles took an early lead, but Buru Sports bounced back later in the match to equalize.
Despite being last season’s runners-up, Eagles have yet to secure a win in the new season, having played three matches so far.
In the season opener and the Charity Shield match, Eagles faced Maziya. Although they lost that game, their performance was impressive. However, their league opener was a different story—Eagles struggled, and Maziya’s star forward Naiz Hassan scored four goals, contributing to a 5-0 defeat.
Eagles, who began their pre-season preparations quite late, put up their best performance of the season in today’s match.

The team came out strong, with Ibrahim Mahdhee Hussain (Feydhoo Ibbe) scoring two goals in the first 20 minutes to give Eagles a 2-0 lead.
Buru Sports, who had secured a dominant 5-0 win over Victory in their opening match, weren’t as dominant against Eagles. However, they managed to fight back.
Mohamed Naaim, a former Eagles player, scored Buru's first goal in the 38th minute, just before halftime. In the second half, Abdullah Junaid (Janney) netted the equalizer early on, leveling the score at 2-2.
