Former FAM Awards Committee coach Mauroof Ahmed (Maatte), has been appointed as the new Chairman of the FAM Awards Committee.
Mauroof previously served as the Technical Director of the Football Association of Maldives (FAM). His most recent sports position was at the Sports Corporation, which was established to organize and manage sports activities across the country. He served as the last Managing Director of the Corporation.
Beyond his administrative roles, Mauroof is widely regarded as one of the most successful coaches in Maldivian football history. As a player, he was a top goalkeeper for Club Victory and later led the club to numerous victories as head coach.
Supporting him on the committee is Abdul Hameed Abdul Ghafoor (Addo), an international match commissioner from the Maldives, who will serve as Vice-Chairman.
Other members of the committee include:
- Ahmed Abeer Ismail, a former renowned referee
- Mohamed Shaheeb, a former football journalist who also served on Haveeru’s Sports Awards Committee
- Current National Team Coach, who will also serve as a member
FAM Awards are presented based on seasonal results and individual performances. A total of 12 categories will be recognized this year:

- Best Football Player in Maldives
- Best Female Football Player
- Most Popular Player (Fan Choice)
- Best Goalkeeper
- Under-21 Player of the Year
- Best Foreign Player
- Top Goal Scorer
- Best Coach
- Goal of the Year
