Pakistan wins Commonwealth Beach Handball championship

Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka in the final of the first Commonwealth Beach Handball Championship held in Kulhudhuffushi, Maldives.

The team lifted the title with a perfect record, winning every match in the tournament.

In the final, Pakistan secured victory in straight sets, beating Sri Lanka 26-18 and 28-18.

Pakistan reached the final after defeating Bangladesh, while Sri Lanka advanced by overcoming Maldives in the semi-finals.

In the third-place playoff, Maldives claimed bronze with a 2-1 win over Bangladesh.

India secured fifth place after beating South Africa.
