Maldives beats Bangladesh; secure third place in Commonwealth Beach Handball tournament

Maldives team wins third place in Commonwealth Beach Handball tournament held in Maldives. 

The match was against Bangladesh this afternoon. The Maldives team won by 2-1. 

The first set of the match was won by the Bangladesh team with a score of 25-20. However, the two sets that followed were won by Maldives team with scores of 22-12 and 7-4, respectively. 

Earlier in the tournament’s league rounds, Bangladesh had defeated the Maldives team.

India and South Africa faced off today to determine the fifth team of the tournament, which missed out on the semi-finals. India won the match with a score of 2-1. 

In the finals, the Sri Lanka and Pakistan teams will play tonight.
