New Radiant's first match after coming back to the Dhivehi Premier League saw them win against TC Sports Club with a score of 6-0.
The team was relegated to the Second Division after they were suspended by FAM in January 2019. They competed in the division twice to return. They were able to do so with Super United Sports (SUS) dropping out of the league and were chosen as they had the better results out of the losing teams in the semi-finals of the Second Division.
Supporters of New Radiant had drums playing throughout the team's first game back in the First Division.
The first goal was scored by Mohamed Irufaan (Irey). The ball was kicked into the penalty area by New Radiant which was received by Riham Abdul Ghanee (Bobby). He proceeded to pass it to Irufaan who was outside the box, who then slotted the ball into the top corner of the goal.
Their second goal was scored off of a free kick from Ali Fasir (Sentey). The free kick was taken outside of the box and was aimed at the edges of the goal. TC Egyptian goalkeeper Mohamed Hassan al Basthuwaisy was unable to stop the ball.
Their third goal was scored via a penalty that was given when Fasir attempted to score, with the TC goalkeeper committing a foul. The penalty was scored by Guilherme Silva.
Their fourth goal was scored in the third minute of the second half by Fasir. Guilherme Silva ran with the ball from the halfway line and passed it to Fasir who had made it into the penalty box. The TC goalkeeper managed to make contact with the ball which ended up slipping away, giving Fasir the opening to score.
New Radiant's fifth goal was scored by Hassan Azoom Ali, assisted by Nixon Rasho who had passed it to him from the middle of TC's half. The ball was slotted into the bottom corner from a kick inside the penalty box.
Hassan Raif Ahmed (Hanna) headed the ball in for the sixth goal assisted by Ahmed Wijhan who crossed into the penalty box. Ali Fasir was named the Man of the Match.
