Coach Luisma Hernández of Maziya S&RC has noted that with some famed players leaving close to the start of the new season, this gives other players a great opportunity. Mohamed Irfan who captained the team for the last two seasons, Ali Fasir (Sentey) and Hassan Raif Ahmed (Hanna) has left Maziya and moved to New Radiant.
Prior to the Charity Shield Match against Eagles, Luisma told the media that with players leaving the club, it gives other players more chances to play. The Spanish coach said that it will benefit the younger players as well.
He also stated that the decision to let the players go came from management.
"This is the final decision made by management. Some players have left the club, with this resulting in other players getting more opportunities to play. Players such as [Naiz Hassan] Dhaadhu, he's even scored while playing for the national team," said Luisma.
Luisma has stated that he has seen even more effort being put in by those who have stayed at the club, which brings him joy.
The Maziya coach has given younger players the chance to play during the FAM League Cup, one of which was top goal scorer of the cup, Mohamed Ilan Imran. He has also played against Sri Lanka during last week's two national games. He is now the youngest player to have played on the national team and to have also assisted in scoring a goal.
Luisma now sees Ilan as a "senior player" after his performance.

"Some other players are also playing for the senior national team. So it's only right that I not refer to them as youth players anymore," said Luisma.
Luisma went on to say some of the players who have come from Maziya Football Academy will get the chance to play in the senior team in future games.
As per Luisma, management gave him the responsibility of winning every game, along with giving youth players more chances to play on the field.
"We also need to give younger players more opportunities to play and that's what I'm working towards. Even if the next game is a friendly one, we still have to show the players the work we put in to win," said Luisma.
The Charity Shield match is set to begin today at 9:00pm. Luisma has said that many people are quite familiar with Maziya, and now he wants to know more about the Eagles team. League Champion team Maziya will be facing off against Eagles during the first Premier League match.
