40 plus swimmers from New Lagoon go to Thailand tournament

More than 40 athletes from the New Lagoon Swimming Club have left for the Asian Open Schools Invitational (AOSI) Short Course Swimming Championships in Thailand.

The AOSI is a junior competition open to private clubs and academies.

Some Maldivians from academies took part in last year's championship as well. 

The club official has said that their 41 swimmers will be participating in over 450 events.

The Short Course (25 Meter) event will run from Saturday till Sunday.

The championship will be held at Bangkok's Assumption University at their Aquatic Center.
