One of the world's best futsal players to HDC

The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has enlisted the talents of one of the best futsal players in the world, Portugal's Ricardinho, for the upcoming Club Maldives Cup.

Ricardinho has claimed the title of World's Best Futsal Player six times in the past and will go down as the best athlete to have ever played in Maldives.

HDC will have to pay a sizable amount to get Ricardinho to sign on, with no details of the expenses available at this time.

Ricardinho is currently in Maldives and has made contact with HDC's team. He was introduced by the club in a ceremony last night. Ricardinho was handed his jersey by HDC's Managing Director Brigadier General (retired) Ali Zuhair.

The Club Maldives Cup is one of the most well-known tournaments in Maldives and is open to offices and companies throughout the country. Its popularity and competitiveness has resulted in companies enlisting talented players from around the world, with Ricardinho being the very best yet.

Ricardinho, 39, has made 188 appearances for the national Portugal futsal team and has scored 142 goals. He, along with Portugal have been crowned both World and European champions. Along with having won the title of World's Best Futsal Player six times, he also has won the title of Best Player in the Futsal World Cup and EUFA Futsal Championship.
