The ranking match between the two Maldivian teams competing in the ongoing Asian Central Zone (CAVA) Club Volleyball Championship has been cancelled.

Sifainge Club and Club HDC were scheduled to play in the fifth-place ranking match, but the tournament control committee has decided it is unnecessary following round-robin stage.

The two teams faced off yesterday evening, with Sifainge Club winning the match 3-2. As both teams were to meet again in the fifth-place playoff, the committee ruled that the result of the previous match would stand.

Sifainge Club won fifth place in the tournament.

Matches to determine the top four rankings of the tournament will be played today.

Nepal’s Help Nepal Sports Club will take on Sri Lanka’s Ports Authority in the third-place match, while the final will be contested between Uzbekistan’s Zaik Volleyball Club and Bishkek Sports Club of Kyrgyzstan.
