Tholal orders FAM to submit breakdown of funds issued to clubs

Sports Commissioner Mohamed Tholal has instructed Football Association of Maldives to provide details of funds issued to clubs.

A letter from the Sports Commissioner’s Office to FAM Normalization Committee President Ahmed Muizzu states that Police are investigating claims of club owners misusing funds provided by FAM.

The letter further said that Police has also informed that they are looking into allegations that clubs and members of the clubs had misused these funds.

Tholal then instructed FAM to provide details of all funds issued to clubs between 2018 and 2023, as well as details of how the funds were used.

- Details of accounts FAM had deposited these funds to

- Details of how clubs used these funds
