Odi Sports clinched a dramatic 2-1 victory over New Radiant to secure their place in the FAM League Cup final, where they will face off against Maziya.
New Radiant took the lead just five minutes into the semi-final match. However, Odi equalized the score in the 70th minute with a goal from Ashoor Abdul.
Ahmed Nooman (Helmet) scored the winning goal in the second minute of extra time.
In the other semi-final, Maziya won against TC Sports with a 1-0 win. The goal came in the 38th minute by Hussain Sifau Yoosuf.
Odi and Maziya previously met in the league stage of the tournament, where the match ended in a 1-1 draw. The final is set to take place on Wednesday night.
FAM League Cup, an informal tournament, was organized to ensure match time for clubs while the Dhivehi Premier League remains on hold due to constitutional amendments and upcoming elections within the Football Association of Maldives (FAM).
While Maziya, Odi, and TC prepare for the Dhivehi Premier League, New Radiant and Mahibadhoo Zuvaanunge Jamiyya are using the tournament as a warm-up for the second division competition.
