Having won all three matches of the league stage, Club WAMCO has secured a spot at the women's division finals of the National Volleyball Championship.
Reigning champions WAMCO advanced to the final after beating Police Club in a match five sets. Police took the first two sets 25-20, 25-23. However, WAMCO came up from behind won the last three sets 25-15, 25-23 and 15-10.
With this result, WAMCO became the first team to advance to the final of the championship. The team would face off against either Police or Huraa Community Club, depending on which team wins the semi finals.
Yesterday, Huraa won against Flexor with three sets, while WAMCO won against Huraa in 3-2 sets. Police also beat Felxor in 3-1 sets.
Although Flexor, Police and Huraa won one match each, both Huraa and Police got four points. Flexor got three points.
The championship is taking place in the indoor court of Malé Social Centre. The semi final match will take place tomorrow night there, with the final match scheduled for Sunday night.
