Police Club is leading the National Volleyball League having won both matches.
They won the match against City Friends' Club yesterday afternoon with 24-26, 20-25 and 15-25. Player of the Match was granted to Police Club's Sophia Kraker.
Last Saturday, Police beat their first match of the tournament, against Flexa Sports Club with 20-25, 25-16 and 15-25. Sophia was the Player of the Match then as well.
Reigning champions WAMCO Club beat Huraa Community Club on Saturday night with 19-25, 22-25, and 25-16. However, in the second match, played on Sunday night against Flexa, they lost with 1-3 sets. Flexa won with 18-25, 18-25, 27-25 and 22-25.
WAMCO and Police will play against each other in the last match of the league on next Sunday night.
Good Games (GG) Sports Academy got their first win last night against Huraa. The match, with five sets, saw GG take the win with 21-25, 25-17, 25-17, 20-25 and 11-15.
GG lost their first match, last Sunday afternoon, to City Friends' Club. GG took the first set with 19-25, but City won the next three with 20-25, 17-25 and 18-25.
The best six teams of the VAM Cup are playing in the Women's Division of the National Volleyball League. Each team will play against all the other clubs, with the winner being decided based on points. The best four teams will make it to the National Tournament which will be held after the league.
The next match of the league will be held tomorrow night, where WAMCO and GG will meet at 4.30pm at the indoor court at Social Centre. Later, at 8.30pm, Huraa and Flex will play against each other.
