Queens has continued their undefeated record in this tournament by triumphing the final match of the League against Elite, securing the Championship.
After triumphing all their matches, the Queens Basketball Club has secured victory of the Women’s First Division Basketball Championships.
Queens had concluded the last and final match of the league against Elite BC with a score of 97-55, a 43-point difference. Fathimath Rishma of the Queens team had gathered 24 for the team during the final playoffs.
The Queens BC had achieved their last league championship after triumphing over Elite BC in 2020 as well. Following that, they had faced defeat in the final match of the 2022 League Championship, which was triumphed by Cyclones BC.
This year’s league had 4 contending team. In addition to Queens and Elite, Cyclones and Lioness competed in the championship as well.
In the upcoming National Basketball Tournament that contends the four best teams, these four team will participate as well. While the National Tournament is scheduled to begin tomorrow, the final match of the tournament will held this Saturday night.
