Tent Sports Club secured a 9-1 win against Club Teenage, propelled by Ahmed Rilwan (Riley)'s hat-trick.
Following their dominant performance in the second division tournament on the previous evening, Tent has now won all three of their matches, securing a spot in the quarter-finals.
Teenage, the last runner-up, has lost all three of their matches so far and has been eliminated from the tournament with the rest of the match. The Grande, who are next in Group B, also lost their first three matches.
BG Sports Club, who are part of the group, have six points from three matches while New Radiant have six points from two matches.
Yesterday's first half ended with a two-goal lead in the tent. Seven goals came off the second half.
Rilwan's goals propelled the team to lead in the initial half. The lead was widened by the goal scored by foreign player Ahmed Abdul Fattah. Although a penalty was granted for the third goal, Abdul Fattah's shot was blocked by Teenage Goalkeeper Hussain Fazil.
The third goal for Tent arrived in the 57th minute as Adam Azim netted his third goal of the match. Following that, Riley elevated and struck the ball over long-on, securing his fourth goal of the season, while Abdul Fattah added the fifth goal. Just two minutes later, in the 68th minute, Rilwan, a former player for various first-division clubs, achieved a hat-trick.
In the 80th minute, Captain Ahmed Amjad (Amju) scored his ninth goal of the match when he hit the ball from a corner. Two minutes later, Ahmed Firash scored his eighth goal of the match, while Sri Lanka's Chalana Chameera scored the last goal.
Ahmed Shujau ended the goal drought, securing the lone point for Teenage, following Tent's dominant lead with nine goals.
