Manta Airlines has announced its plans to initiate direct flights from Dhaalu atoll Kudahuvadhoo Airport to Bengaluru, India.
In a statement, the airline stated that direct flights to Bengaluru are set to recommence from January, operating from Kempegowda International Airport to Kudahuvadhoo.
The introduction of direct flights by Manta is expected to streamline travel for tourists heading to luxury resorts in Dhaalu atoll, eliminating the need for layovers and waiting times at Velana International Airport.
Dhaalu atoll hosts some of the most prestigious resorts in the Maldives, including Kandima Maldives, Niyama Private Island, St Regis Maldives, Riu, Baglioni, Angsana Velavaru, and Sun Siyam Iru Veli.
Mohamed Khaleel, CEO of Manta Air, highlighted the significance of this move as the airline ventures into international operations for the first time, following its successful domestic and seaplane operations. He expressed optimism that this decision would enhance the convenience of travel for incoming tourists to the Maldives.
Manta Airlines commenced operations in the Maldives in 2019 and has since established itself with extensive domestic and seaplane services.
