Eleven promising young athletes from Naseer Sports Academy, led by former running champion Naseer Ismail, are taking part in a training camp in Sri Lanka. The athletes are currently undergoing rigorous training in Nuwara Eliya, a picturesque city renowned for its high altitude.

Given the low-lying nature of the Maldives, high altitude training holds great importance for these athletes. Naseer emphasized its crucial role in their development, stating, "For Maldivians, high altitude training is a vital component, considering our geographical background."

Following their training in Nuwara Eliya, the athletes will move to Colombo to continue their training under the guidance of renowned Sri Lankan long-distance coach Ratna Kumar. This collaboration is not new, as athletes from Naseer Academy have previously had the opportunity to train with Ratna.
