Maldives loses to Nepal for the first time in SAFF Championship

Nepal defeats reigning champions Maldives in the second match of the SAFF Championship on Friday evening.

Nepal defeats reigning champions Maldives in the second match of the SAFF Championship on Friday evening.

This was the first time Nepal had won over Maldives in the SAFF Championship.

Manish Dangi's late goal wrote the history in the last four minutes of the game.

In the 2018 SAAF Championships Maldives had defeated Nepal with a score of 3-0.

Both Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Vice President Faisal Naseem had attended the opening ceremony and the match between Nepal and Maldives as well.

In the next match of the tournament Bangladesh will face Nepal on Monday, 4 pm Maldives time.
