Vinares Flats' access control systems temporarily halted following vandalism

After the main entrance of the Vinares Towers was vandalized, Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has temporarily discontinued use of the Access Control Systems installed there.

The Vinares Towers' entrances had been fitted out with Access Control Systems three days ago, with residents of each apartment provided five key tags for entry.

However, HDC stated on Friday that a number of individuals had vandalized the door and system.

As a result, HDC has temporarily halted use of the Access Control Systems effective from Friday afternoon, they said.

HDC cautioned to refrain from such actions, emphasizing that the systems had been placed with the security of Vinares residents in mind.
