Maldives Immigration has conducted a raid operation at the Hiyaa Flat Towers yesterday, with three expatriates taken into detention.
In a post on social media platform X today, Immigration stated that the operation focused on businesses operating at the Hiyaa Flats.
Four shops, four cafe'/bakeries, and a salon was inspected.
In two of these businesses, Officers found three expatriates working against regulations, without the necessary permits. These three were then taken into custody.

To date, Immigration has deported over 5000 expatriates living and working against Immigration laws in Maldives.
