After this, the flats will be handed over as they are completed, with complete handover believed to be completed ahead of September this year, he said.
The President made this assurance while delivering the annual Presidential Address in the year's first sitting of parliament currently ongoing.
The President said that resolving the issues in the flat recipient list under ACC's findings is a sensitive issue that has to be undertaken by this government.
The President has even previously this year said that the final recipients list for the 4000 flats built under loan assistance from India's EXIM Bank will be announced prior to Ramadan, which falls on March 1.
During his recent visit to GA. and GDh. atolls, the President stated that those who attempted to obtain flats through deception will not be on the final list that will be announced.
Minister Dr Abdulla Muththalib, who recently started overseeing the Housing Ministry as well, said on January 14 that instead of evaluation all 20,000 or so application forms, the government has decided to verify the 4000 names on the list announced by the previous government.
