A Korean tourist on Wednesday drowned during a snorkelling trip at Paradise Island Resort and Spa.
A Police spokesperson stated that the 66-year-old woman was brought to ADK Hospital at 1700 hours. It remains unclear whether she had died while undergoing emergency treatment or en route to the hospital.
Lately, there has been an increase in the number of drowning incidents among tourists visiting Maldives.
