VP Hussain during his address at the ceremony held to commemorate the 94th National Day of Saudi Arabia held at Villa Nautica on Sunday highlighted the strengthened bilateral relationship between both countries and thanked the Saudi government for its support.
Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has said that the close relationship between the Saudi Arabia and the Maldives has been further strengthened due to the efforts of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
Vice President Hussain extended his congratulations and best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the government and citizens of Saudi Arabia during the ceremony held to commemorate the 94th National Day of Saudi Arabia held at Villa Nautica on Sunday.
VP Hussain said the close relationship between the two countries, based on common Islamic customs, has grown stronger, mainly through current initiatives to enhance mutual connections led by President Muizzu. The Vice President thanked the Saudi government for its kind hospitality and support through aid and logistical support for Maldivian pilgrims during the last Hajj season.
He also extended his gratitude for the assistance being provided to Maldives through the Saudi Fund for Development.
Vice President Hussain also praised the tireless efforts of Ambassador Matrek bin Abdullah Al-Ajalin Al-Dosari and the Embassy team in promoting Islamic solidarity and strengthening bilateral relations.
