The team, who won against Sifainge Club with 2-3 sets, was led by Ismail Sajid (Kuda Kaattey), a prominent name in both indoor volley and beach volley.
Sifainge Club won the first set with 20-25. The second set was also highly competitive, but HDC won with 29-31.
The next set was also taken by HDC with 20-25, but the fourth set was lost by 17-25.
HDC rose up and won the final set with 13-15, winning the championship.
The best player of the final match went to Ismail Sajid (Kuda Kaattey) of HDC, who also won the player of the tournament title, and best outside attacker title.
From the entire tournament, Sajid was crowned best player, while most promising player title went to Shamil Mohamed of Police Club. HDC's Santhi Mir was named best foreign player.
Best outside blocker once against went to Sajid, and Adam Naseem (Sifainge Club). Best middleblocker went to Ahmed Ahsan (HDC) and Adam Fairooz (HDC). Best opposite player went to Hussain Razan (Sifainge Club), while Hussain Shahid (Sifainge Club) and Saudh Ahmed (HDC) were named best setters.
HDC's Hussain Shareef emerged as Best Coach.
