Maldives Police Service, on Monday, revealed that an expatriate was arrested for assaulting another foreigner in Foakaidhoo, Shaviyani Atoll.
The 47-year-old Bangladeshi national reportedly attacked the other individual at approximately 1910 hrs on Friday.
The police disclosed that the court had remanded the expatriate for a period of 15 days.
The police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
