Three individuals have been arrested in Gaaf Alif Atoll Villingili, for their alleged involvement in the sexual assault of a woman.
A woman, aged 22 from the same island had reported a sexual assault case last Friday night.
According to the police, three men aged 20, 24, and 30 were arrested by court order on Sunday night in connection with the case.
It has been revealed that two of the arrested men were from Gaaf Alif Atoll Villingili, while one was from Laamu Atoll. The woman who reported the sexual assault is a resident of Gaaf Alif Atoll Kolamaafushi.
However, the police have not provided any further information regarding the case.
