A video started circulating on social media today showing an adolescent boy being beaten and hit. The video shows the assailant grabbing him by the neck and punching him severely. The assailant also kicked the boy, while yelling angrily.
The video shows that other persons were in the vicinity when this violent incident occurred. However, none of the onlookers stepped in to intervene as the violence continued.
Police said that the video had been brought to their attention on June 19, and the investigation had commenced then. No arrests have been made yet in relation to the case.
Police said that they have so far been unable to identify the persons seen in the video. They urged anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them.
