A delegation from the Indian National Center for Good Governance (NCGG), on Monday, held discussions with the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
Amongst the visitors were chief delegate, Additional Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), Shri V Srinivas and Additional Secretary of NCGG Poonam Singh.
The two parties will finalize the implementation modalities of the MOU on training civil servants during the visit, which is scheduled to conclude on Tuesday.
The visit is a followup to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two parties to conduct capacity building programmes for 1,000 Maldivian civil servants. The agreement was signed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his state visit to the country on June 8.
A welcome ceremony was held at the CSC, with the Ambassador of India Sunjay Sudhir in attendance. Additionally, the delegation was welcomed by CSC President Dr Aly Shameem and other members of the commission.
According to Additional Secretary Srinivas, NCGG will conduct training programs in the fields of public administration, e-governance and service delivery, public policy and governance, information technology and more.
The delegation also called on Vice President Faisal Naseem.
