A fire that broke out in the warehouse of "Fruit Tree Apple" early this morning has caused a loss of approximately MVR 10 million.
Fruit Tree Apple is located on Majeedhee Magu in Male' City.
According to the store manager who spoke with Mihaaru News, the warehouse primarily sold dry fruits, electronics, and common household items.
Two floors above the store were used for stock storage, and the warehouse, constructed with steel and corrugated iron sheets, was completely destroyed in the fire.
The fire first broke out in the warehouse.
"Goods worth an estimated MVR 8 million were lost, with additional damages bringing the total loss to MVR 8-10 million," he said.

The incident was reported at around 4:20 am, and the fire was extinguished by the MNDF Fire and Rescue Service by approximately 6:00 am.
The fire affected 10 adjacent houses.
The fire also impacted the surrounding area, with 10 adjacent houses affected by smoke from the fire. National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has said that 33 persons identified as being in need of assistance. This includes 14 Maldivians and 19 foreigners. Of these, 22 individuals from five homes are being provided with temporary shelter and food.
One expatriate family arranged their own shelter, while 11 expatriates were assisted by their employers, NDMA said.
