A man arrested for assaulting two men while they were having coffee at Raakani Beach in Hulhumale' has been released by Hulhumale' Magistrate Court today.

A video circulating on social media shows two men having coffee at around 23:00 hrs when two individuals on a motorcycle stopped near the cafe'. One of them entered the cafe' and attacked a man with a chair, while the other man on the motorcycle entered and pushed him.
The video also shows the man being assaulted.
Police said that an altercation between two men at Raakani Beach was reported last night.
The individual who shared the video on social media stated that one of the men was taken to the police station for attacking his brother, but the second person who entered the café was released. The individual expressed concern as the man had issued death threats.
