With the continuous rain causing heavy flooding in Male', it has become difficult to operate taxis. As a result, there was heavy crowding at the Velana International Airport with many returning from holidays and Umrah pilgrimage ending up stranded at the airport.
MTCC began operating buses to transport the stranded passengers and public to Male', and has said the service will continue till 01:00 hrs.
The company said that many still remain at the airport, with no way to come to Male'. Buses will continue arranging travel for such persons.
