Eydhafushi scored their first goal early into the match, taking the lead. This goal was scored by TC Sports Club Captain Mohamed Ajufan. The lead was widened by another goal scored by Ahmed Jaushan Abdulla (Jau). A third goal was scored by Ali Naseem as the first half neared an end.
In the first five minutes of the second half, Eydhafushi attempted more goals, but did not succeed.
Thulhaadhoo stepped in at this point, and scored through a penalty.
Ali Naseem then scored two more goals, achieving a hattrick.
In addition to Ajufan, four more players from the island who play in the Dhivehi Premier League were also part of the Eydhafushi team. Maziya's Hamza Mohamed (Hampu), Haisham Hassan (Bidi), and Eagles' Nisham Mohamed Rasheed (Pog) were also listed, but were unable to play due to restrictions placed by the clubs.
