Vehicle parking is prohibited in a large area around Republic Square where President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is scheduled to be sworn in as President on Friday.
According to the map shared by the police in a post on X, parking is prohibited on Boduthakurufaanu Magu from the local market to Henveiru Ferry Terminal.
Parking is also prohibited on Ameer Ahmed Magu behind Republic Square.

Additionally, parking is also prohibited on Medhuziyaaraiy Magu from Fantasy Store to the parking lot adjacent to Hotel Jen.
Vessels will not be allowed to dock in the area from the local market to the fishermen's park, police said.
According to the police, this change has been made from 6 pm on Friday evening until 3 pm on Saturday, police said.
The swearing-in ceremony of the President-elect is scheduled for 4:00 pm on Friday.
