The Food and Beverage Show organised by High Rise kicked off yesterday with over 40 stalls, at Hulhumalé's Central Park.
The Food and Beverage Show organised by High Rise kicked off yesterday with over 40 stalls, at Hulhumalé's Central Park.
The event was inaugurated by Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef, who also visited the stalls later on.
Participating companies include local F&B businesses, restaurants, small business and foreign businesses from India, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
The event will be held at the park until Sunday, allowing visitors to sample and experience products from various brands at one place. Products will also be offered at lower prices during the show, organisers said.
This year, Sosan Fihaara's stall came with the most variety with products ranging from the popular Pillsbury cake mix packets to Pascual brand almond, soy and oats milk. Other samples available to taste on the stop include various fizzy and energy drinks sold from the outlet as well as biriyani prepared with Shaan biriyani masala, which will be available every night.
Euro Store also has a dedicated stall this year, showcasing products such as Sifaya dates, Rumo pasta and various pasta sauces popular during the Ramadan period. These products will also be available for purchase at the stall at discounted prices. Euro said visitors would be able to taste test dates and gelato from the stall as well.
Another participating business this year is Equics, offering Yakin brand sauce taste tests paired with different snacks. The stall also features a spinning wheel with chances to win special discounts and buy one, get one free offers.
The show starts at 04:00 pm in the evening until 06:00 pm and then resumes from 08:00 pm until 11:00pm.
