Ingredients:

Half of a pumpkin

Half cup sugar

cardamon pods/powder

Water

cooking oil/ghee

Directions:

- Boil the pumpkin until it's super soft – test it with a fork, and if it's easy to poke through, it's good to go!

- Drain the pumpkin and give it a good mash with a fork.

- Now, heat up some oil in a big pot, and when it's nice and hot, toss in the pumpkin along with those fragrant cardamom pod seeds.

- Turn down the heat and let the barabo halwa start doing it's thing!

- Stir it up every now and then and watch as it transforms into a beautiful golden brown color over about 10 minutes.

- Time to sweeten the deal – add in the sugar, mix it all up, and let it cook for another 15 minutes until it's thick and gooey.
