Omadhoo has defeated one of the leading teams of Golden Futsal Challenge, Thaa atoll Thimarafushi, with a score of 2-3 and secured a spot in the atoll's semifinals.
Although Thimarafushi lost this match, they have 9 points to their name and made it to the semifinals as the top team in Group A.
Omadhoo, second in this five team group, and Kim'bidhoo each have seven points. Omadhoo, however, leads with goal difference. Kim'bidhoo beat Dhiyamigili last night with a 2-5 score.
Hirilandhoo, with 12 points, is leading Group B. Second rank goes to Veymandoo, who in last night's match beat Kandoodhoo 4-6 with four of the goals shot by Solah Ali.
Veymandoo, Buruni and Gaaduhfushi each hold 6 points, but Veymandhoo leads with goal difference. Burini lost to Gaadhuhfushi last night with a 2-3 score.
Semifinal matches of Thaa atoll will be played on Sunday night at 10pm. Thimarafushi and Veymandoo will face each other, while Hirilandhoo plays against Omadhoo.
Both groups of Laamu atoll have three teams each. Ranking first in Group A is Gan, who won both their matches. Second is Maabaidhoo, who defeated Maavah last night 2-3.
Isdhoo won against Mundoo with a 1-3 score last night, rising to the top of Group B. Mundoo and Kalaidhoo each hold a single point, but Mundoo made it to second rank through goal difference.
Sunday night will see this atoll's semifinal matches played where Gan will play against Mundoo, and Isdhoo against Maabaidhoo.
In the atoll rounds of Baa atoll, Thulhaadhoo won against Fehendhoo with a 1-nil score last night. In the first match, Thulhadhoo lost to Eydhafushi with this same score.
Eydhafushi and Fehendhoo will meet in the last match of the Baa atoll rounds on Saturday night at 9.
Tonight, Raa atoll and Gaafu Alif atoll will play semifinal matches, while Lhaviyani atoll and Vaavu atoll will play atoll round matches.
