The President made this announcement while addressing the residents of Muraidhoo on his ongoing official visit to Haa Alif atoll.
The President said that an educational sector plan is being drafted, which will include all schools in Maldives. In this, special priority will be given to acquiring the resources and facilities needed by schools.
"Insfrastructure-wise, all islands are needing classroom facilities, laboratories, libraries, staffrooms and halls. These need to be prioritized, then we can achieve it over two years," he said.
President Muizzu said that, in accordance with his pledges during the presidential election campaign, a plan will soon be formulated to address development of the education sector.
He further said that a plan addressing the health sector will be also be drafted.
