President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih inaugurates road construction project of Haa Dhaalu Hanimaadhoo on Sunday.
President and First Lady Fazna Ahmed set off to visit three islands in the one of the southern most atolls of Maldives on Friday.
CEO of Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) Adam Azim and National Planning Minister Mohamed Aslam attended the inaugural ceremony in addition to Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid and Health Minister Ahmed Naseem.
This project was awarded to MTCC by National Planning Ministry.
Under this project that costs 71.9 million Rufiyaa, 44,000 meters from 20 roads in Hanimaadhoo will be developed into tarmac roads. MTCC will also be developing a water drainage system and lighting up the roads as well.
In addition to Hanimaadhoo, the President and First Lady Fazna have visited Kulhudhufushi and Kumundhoo, also in Haa Dhaalu atoll.
