President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has last night left on an official visit to Estonia.
He will be meeting with Estonian President Dr Alar Karis and concluding his visit on Thursday.
This is the first time that a sitting President of Maldives has made an official visit to Estonia, and also the President Muizzu's first official visit to a European country.
During the trip, the President will focus on enhancing bilateral relations and explore avenues of cooperation between the countries such as digital, cyber, e-governance fields, climate and environmental issues and science and education.
President Muizzu will be meeting with his Estonian counterpart Dr Karis, President of the Estonian Parliament Lauri Hussar and many Ministers.
He will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Abdulla Khaleel, Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan and a senior government delegation.
