The positions announced include;

- Executive Secretary - Room Attendant - Sales and Reservations Coordinator - Receptionist - Recreation and Events Supervisor - Recreation Attendant - Tent Management Coordinator - Marketing and PR Coordinator - Accountant - Assistant Accounts Officer - HR and Training Coordinator - Purchasing and Store Coordinator - Landscaping Coordinator - Monitoring and Security Supervisor - Security Assistant - Cleaners - Imam Remunerations for the positions announced range between MVR 8,500 and MVR 23,500.

Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure announced it was preparing to open the picnic island in December.

Maldives government first planned to open the island on Maldives' Independence Day in July. However, important works in the island had not been completed by that time which resulted in a push-back. The date was delayed again to Republic Day in November, but the island was still not complete.

It was recently confirmed all major components including primary facilities, mosque and accommodation spaces have already been completed.

The island is situated approximately 10.5 kilometres from Malé City, about 15 minutes away via speedboat. A total of five state-owned companies contributed to the development, which includes HDC along with the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), FENAKA Corporation, State Electric Corporation (STELCO), and Malé Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC).
