One individual affected by smoke from the fire in the third floor of M. Enziange yesterday is currently in a serious condition and is being in treated in the intensive care unit in Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
An official from IGMH said that out of the four people taken for treatment, one is in ICU and the other three were being treated in the emergency room.
The flat in which the incident occurred only has these four individuals in residence.
The apartment was damaged beyond use. National Disaster Management has provided temporary accommodation for those who had been living there.
MNDF said that the fire had caused extensive damage to the apartment and things in it despite MNDF's prompt response to put out the fire.
Reasons behind the fire are unclear as of yet.
