A video of mice running inside the food rack of Star Light Cafe', located on Kalaafaanu Magu in Male' City, has begun circulating on social media.
The video, shared by Ahmed Naahil on Facebook, shows mice running over food displayed in the rack. Another video posted by him shows a mouse running near a TV inside the cafe', with a man attempting to catch it.
Naahil, a regular customer of the cafe', speaking with Mihaaru News said that he has raised concerns about the presence of mice with the cafe' owner multiple times over the past year.
According to Naahil, a lot of mice were spotted in the cafe'.
"There are more mice there now than people," he said.
The cafe' owner said that is has been a couple days for the mice issue, which likely entered from the building's roof.
The cafe' is temporarily closed to address the problem, with efforts to seal all entry points, the owner said.
