Ooredoo has gifted medical equipment of MVR 16 million to National Air Ambulance Service.
The equipment will contribute towards improving medical attention during transfers, and to better respond to medical emergencies across the atolls.
In a ceremony held today, Minister of Health Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim received the equipment.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Minister said that the equipment will be an assistance for providing improved services. He said that this initiative by Ooredoo demonstrates that companies can work towards the benefit of the society through CSR programs.
Ooredoo Maldives CEO Khalid Al-Hamadi said that while medical services are a fundamental right, it is a pleasure for the company to work with the government to improve services of the National Air Ambulance Services which engage in lifesaving work.
Ooredoo also provided assistance earlier when the air ambulance service was launched in march. As of now, air ambulance has attended to 436 cases, and arranged transfers for 517 patients for emergency medical treatment.
