They made this announcement after learning that a number of scam messages had been sent purporting to be from HDC on Sunday night.
On Sunday, screenshots were circulated on social media of what was said to be information about HDC's customers, saying that their customer database had been hacked. A number of individuals also received OTP messages from a number claiming to be from HDC.
In a statement released by HDC, they said that they had faced some issues with their payment receipts, but it had since been resolved.
The corporation further said that they are collaborating with the Police to further investigate the data circulating on social media regarding their customers.
They highlighted that the corporation places high importance on protecting customer details and maintaining security.
They urged to be aware of scam messages being sent under their name, and advised to not share OTP or other security codes with any persons.
