The newly introduced competition is organised in collaboration with Maldives Soccer Mates and Football Association of Maldives. The tournament invites first division club academies to participate in three age categories.
With seven teams participating this year, organisers invited Hurriyya Sports Club's academy to participate as well, aiming to have a total of eight competing teams.
Teams from under 12, under 14 and under 16 age groups participated. So far SUS has secured the championship title in the under 12 age group, winning all six matches they played in. Their final match was against TC, which they ended with a score of 3-0.
Ranking second is Maziya with 15 points from six matches. Victory is currently in third place, which is represented by Adventure Academy. Victory has 13 points so far.
Tomorrow evening at 3:45 pm, SUS will face off against Victory at Henveiru Stadium.
SUS also won the Ninety Minutes Academy tournament last year.
